Brooklyn New Wave - 6 new 2022 films by Sujewa Ekanayake (1 done, 1 being filmed, 4 in the works) - 4.24.22 update!

Doing a little 1 person wave of new films over here in Brooklyn :). Info below.  These are microbudget features/weekend projects (usually). Hope to finish the 5 unfinished movies and release them (start screenings, distribution) by the end of this year/2022. 1 - The Secret Society For Slow Romance - rent it & watch it here 2 - The Mystery Of Immortality (Slow Romance 2) - now being filmed - web page  The Mystery Of Immortality 3 - (working title - a comedy-drama about a film critic) - at script & development stage, 1st choice cast for lead actors made 4 - (working title - a comedy about an actress in Brooklyn) - at script & development stage, main actor/1st choice made 5 - (working title - a comedy about two tourists in Brooklyn) - at script & development stage, at least 1 of the main actors selected 6 - (working title - a detective comedy) - at script & development stage, I have a rough idea about the cast (at least the main actors) More info coming to thi...

Here are some thoughts re: some items raised in the review. I look forward to hearing about this in your next 'don't read the comments' video :). First, thanks a lot for appreciating the cinematography in the movie. Making a movie look good/beautiful takes a lot of work. Yes, the movie is not a typical romantic comedy. It does, however, capture real world elements of some relationships. Re: theatricality in acting - some real world people - specially in NYC - are very theatrical. Rene is a more low key character, while Allyson has some theatrical moments. The solution to world poverty presented in the movie is not naive.
